Obituary for James "Jim" Edward Blackburn

James "Jim" Edward Blackburn, 81 of Princeton, passed away Sunday, September 1 at the Caldwell County Medical Center. He was a retired truck driver.

Jim is survived by sons, James Eugene Blackburn and Royce Wkuam Blackburn of St. Louis, Missouri; sister, Mary Joyce Gartner and husband, James of St. Louis, Missouri; step-daughter, Debra Ann Croft and husband, Robert Kenneth of Princeton; foster step-daughter, Dawnese Ward of Springfield, Missouri; 6 grandchildren: Brent, Miranda, Chris, Brandon, Alex and Ashley Blackburn; great-grandchildren, Cameron Puder, Kolten Duvel, Owen, Addison, Lilly, Levi, Maya Blackburn; step- grandchild Shanna Sherrill; 2 step-great-grandchildren, Cole and Emily Sherrill; 3 foster step-grandchildren; and 2 foster step-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jo Ann Patterson Blackburn; parents, Wallace Eugene and Mary Beatrice Dunbar Blackburn, and sister, Brenda Peters.

Visitation will be from 11:00 to 1:00 PM Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Morgan's Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 1:00 PM, September 7 at Morgan's with burial to follow in the Rock Springs cemetery.
